During a consultation, the oral surgeon will thoroughly examine your teeth, gums and assess your overall oral health, including your medical history. Our expert will also evaluate bone density and quantity. For patients with inadequate bone volume may need a bone graft before a dental implant.
X-Ray examination:
Computer tomography scans (CT scans) are essential during the examination for an implant consultation. That X-ray exam shows how dense the bone actually is and determines if there is enough bone structure to place the implant.
Intra Oral scan and pictures
Our implant dentist will determine exactly the length and strength of the implant and where it should be placed based on the implant study.
After the examination, the oral surgeon will explain the different treatment options suitable for you. If dental implants are right for you a treatment plan will be explained.
